Cheers Ziggy. Lots of good looking stuff there. Most appear to be 2020 release.

Doom will keep some of us occupied at least! Which looks nuts. I want a helmet

Funny how Nintendo just rickrolled the complete E3 by teasing the new Zelda.

Looking forward to Silksong.

Well nothing really interesting happening in the Fall besides Borderlands 3 and the new Destiny 2 DLC. Division 2 needs a significant amount of work because at the moment it is not in a good place. Loot is fucked. No build diversity. Skill builds are useless. The expansions look good but until they address those core issues doesn't matter how good the content is.

I agree Doom Eternal does look good but I am not sure if I feel like investing any time into it. Between Borderlands 3 and Destiny 2 Shadowkeep I suspect I won't have much time for other games. Definitely not if Division 2 also gets it's shit together.

Next year though is going to be interesting. A number of great looking games and new consoles from Sony and Microsoft. The new Watchdogs looks great but it comes out a month before Cyberpunk and has a bit of a similar vibe and it has zero chance of competing with Cyberpunk. Looking forward to Halo Infinite but I really hope they evolve that into something more than just a campaign with PVP. There have been hints to open world elements I hope that ends up being the case.

I am glad Nintendo fans have things to look forward to but Nintendo does nothing for me. It was great when I was 5 playing Mario Brothers but as an adult nothing there that interests me.

As an adult I finally understood Nintendo. Some games appear as kiddie but actually going for 100% is hard work. Cpt.Toad, Yoshi Woolly World, Mario 3d world, Galaxy 1 & 2, MK8, Splatoon: all excellent.
My fave Wii u game was Xenoblade Chronicles X, in fact, I think it is the best game I've ever played.

I think that is very cool just not my kind of games and not my style of graphics. That said I give Nintendo props for maintaining their brand and quality control. Not many companies would have pulled Metroid like they did most publishers would have just pushed it as it was rather than lose all that money in development time spent.

Decided to sign up for the Game Pass for PC last night - $5 a month (albeit while it's in beta) seems like a good deal. Looking forward to checking out Imperator: Rome, Sea of Thieves, State of Decay 2 and more over the coming months.

It seems to be a trend at the moment - both UPlay and Origin seem to have subscription models as well. Surprised Steam hasn't jumped on board on this one. Will be interested to see where all this winds up.

List of games (happy to take recommendations, though I've played a bunch on this list already):

State of Decay 2 is awful. Sea of Thieves has gotten much better since launch still not really my thing.

As for the list Gears for sure. Metro Exodus and Wolfenstein II are worth checking out. Sunset Overdrive isn’t bad. Never played Hellblade but I have heard good things.

We have fairly different tastes in games though so there are probably a bunch you will end up digging that aren’t my cup of tea.

I did see The Outer Worlds was coming to game pass. Not sure if it is in the $5 a month list or the more expensive one but it doesn’t come out until October I believe.

I think State of Decay 2 suffered more from high expectations - many who I've spoken to who actually played the game say it's fine. State of Decay 1 was a long way from an amazing polished game, so my expectations for 2 are somewhat low. SOD1 was fun, as so long as it doesn't stray too far from the formula I suspect 2 is ok.

Metro Exodus is certainly on the list, played most of the others you mention (though I haven't played a GOW game since 2)

Outer Worlds will probably end up being the best game of 2019.

If you like RTS's i woudld say Halo Wars games are worth a play through. Sea of Thieves is a lot of fun if you can find a crew, or happen to stumble into a fun one. Sailing solo can be fun to, but it is 100X harder.

Been trying to play some Sea of Thieves - it is a cool game, but not having a crew makes it tough. People are generally ok, but tbh I have little interest in gaming with strangers.

Not an RTS fan, so will give Halo Wars a miss. Going to check out Imperator Rome and Football Manager though. Will see if it'll let me coach Adelaide United any better than they are IRL

I want to like this new Star Wars game, but it just looks far too generic for me. I've played Tomb Raider enough times that a reskinned Star Wars version doesn't have heaps of appeal. I think an Assassins Creed style reskin might have worked better

Which games are on everyone's radar then? Between say and now and Mid 2020?

Looking promising...
