It is pretty clear this new Tool album is going to take a shit on everything else this year. No fanboy bullshit if the new Tool songs sucked I would be bashing them non stop. Give me any reason to hate on Tool and I will take it but fuck I can't Descending and Invincible are just that good. I take a few days away from listening to them and then come back and mind blown again.
What does your girlfriend think about all this?

If that’s what I think it is, that’s a nice little nod to Ministry thieving Paul. Looking forward to hearing that.
They really ought to tour together again. I would love to see that, maybe even get Paul on a Lateralus jam.
Going to get the Vienna poster framed later today and try to find one that fits the embossed VIP ticket and envelope I've had lying around.
Any thoughts on the best poster on the current tour? I'm stoked with the Red Vienna copy but the Nuremberg ones look swish. They all look good actually. I was a bit underwhelmed with the Adi Grandov stuff coming out around the opiate priest but these posters and the half-skull roman ones are rippers. Highly recommend you grab one if the the opportunity's there.... and socks, obv

So did they actually cover Ministry’s Thieves or just played the song on the PA system?
Btw, i’m feeling like the band are tighter than ever and enjoying themselves. They seem really excited for the upcoming release, which is a given but still i had to mention it.
I think they'll forever stick with the stylized 'tool' logo they have right now, similar to how Metallica have always stuck with the jagged M and A letters to bookend their name in many designs and album covers etc. Using a capital T and big, bold letters to spell out TOOL or Tool on a t-shirt can appear just a little too abrasive with some fonts or designs so I've always thought the current logo was more of a subtle approach but still recognizable.
At least I like it better than the Lateralus font they used from 2001 to 2005.
And it Ministry's 'Thieves' a play on words? They stole Tool's original bassist...
My guess would be that it was some troll messing around on setlist.fm. Why would they play that song when they haven't had Paul in the band since '95? ......And they're also friends with Ministry.

Haven't been a fan of that logo since 10K days era when they changed it.
Yah. I thought that Key logo pumped out the other day worked well on a few levels.
you two know it! thats why i mentioned ''the circle jerk 10k logo'' last week, that was comedy gold and no one laughed :/ lol. i never liked that logo from the start either. its been around for almost half the time they've been around which is weird. i know its just a logo but still.
ya, i dig that sigil looking logo on that ''fake'' picture or whatever it was we saw. its simple looking but i think it looks cool and works for them.

They played it over the PA as we were leaving the arena.
The Kraków show was awesome. Even though the sound perhaps could have been better, the show was incredibly tight. They basically played their regular set without the intermission, and with an added Danny solo (it figures as CCTrip, but I don't really think it was). They seemed on fire, especially on the new songs, which I found miles better "in person" (especially Descending, which was mind-blowing with the lasers and graphics). I hope they come back next year!

It's not.
Nobby (the FOH sound engineer) likes to play that as walkout on occasion. I'm pretty sure he played it before Paul joined Ministry, as well.
He has a few songs that he rotates through, depending on mood.
Sometimes it's The Prodigy, which is a nod to Keith, though.
Also: what is "BogusGreatFireant.webm" and why does it keep automatically downloading when I open this page?
Yeah I noticed something was auto downloading last night as well on my IPAD but it looked like it was an image file and it was only happening when I tried to reply to Rafa's post with imagine so I figured it was something goofy with that image file. Didn't pay attention to the name of the file though.
