October what the fuck! I’ll be ready for the next album by then.
Re: Random Tool Social Media thread
October? Why would the print so far in advance? Surely it's the next issue due in August

Re: Random Tool Social Media thread
even the GW mag with Adam gets delayed, i surrender!
Re: Random Tool Social Media thread
Forget about the name of the month for a moment, since magazines tend to release their issues well in advance. If I'm reading it correctly, the next issue (August, Sept, Oct - whatever) comes out mid August. Would that not be the one with Adam on it?
Re: Random Tool Social Media thread
Where are people seeing October?
Edit: alright hellboy, the GW instagram say Slipknot is the September issue and that it's out now, so I believe you are right that these come early. This makes no sense to me. Why are they two months ahead?

I know the pieces fit, I studied the numbers in Southern France.

Re: Random Tool Social Media thread
With the Sept. Issue posted as being out 6 days ago, we should get this one right before the album drops.

- You like noisy music?
- Yes. The louder the better. Stops me from thinking.
- You don't like to think? What do you like?
- Never thought about it.

I guess this lays the rampant speculation over the reasons for the haircut to rest.

Re: Random Tool Social Media thread
So no pre order info yet from the one music store I have left near me. Kinda sad that the other two music stores have closed down.
He said two weeks out is when he starts seeing changes in the system for new releases.
I hope tool has a smooth preordering process on their site. I now have a back up place just to be sure. I hope we get access to the rumored limited edition set. Hopefully that’s not just for the listening party in Jerome.

"Fuck, what a weight lifted off my chest. It took a lot of work. The four of us are a lot of fucking work just to get anywhere. Oh my God - everything's a fucking committee meeting and always gets shot down."
I'm happy for Tool that they finally got the album done but especially Maynard. The guys a workaholic and the one who has had to take the full brunt of our frustrations for years now. I bet he is fucking buzzing right now.

I bet they all are. They know we want it. These moments before the drop are exciting for us but think about those guys. especially if it is well received afterwards.
I have huge issues playing guitar in front of people. Can you imagine debuting a brand new song after 13 years to a live crowd? Gotta make sure you are perfectly in time. Man. Must feel great after pulling it off.

Re: Random Tool Social Media thread
Apparently it's mentioned in the Guitar World article that there's 7 songs. That's what I've been thinking ever since Tool mentioned in a VIP session that there is a lot of 7 on the album. Adam wanted to call the album "Volume 7".

Re: Random Tool Social Media thread
I think he means 7 actual tracks and possibly 1 or 2 interludes. I’m completely satisfied with that!

Yeah there goes my double album speculation. I wonder if descending is the closing track. I thought the 18 min song was the last one?
