Hey Busty, I saw them in 01 and 02 and they were firing on all cylinders then, so the production wasn't the same as it is now - they were still putting on an excellent show!Busty McCracken wrote: ↑Thu Feb 27, 2020 3:12 amBetter than 02?? The years lapsed have possibly clouded your judgement. They were in good spirits, tight and the production was incredible but 02 was up there as their as their peak. No comparison for mine.

Re: New Album Touring (with SPOILERS!)
Totally Tyson! during any of these 10,000 days tour that lasted 13 god damn years it seemed as if Maynard didn't want to be there. He seems very happy to be there during the Fi tours and that's great for us god damn idiots right? I know people say to play without him, but that wouldn't be the same.tys0n wrote: ↑Thu Feb 27, 2020 8:14 pmYou'd think someone had died or something, sheeshBobby Bottleservice wrote: ↑Thu Feb 27, 2020 8:13 pmThey sure are in high spirits! This band is on fire right now. I totally agree that during 10 thousand days, some enthusiasm seemed to be missing.

Re: New Album Touring (with SPOILERS!)
Really? I saw them in 01 and 02 and the entire band (including Maynard) (both years 02 and 01) were completely into it. Maybe you witnessed a bad show. 2006 is when (my opinion) Maynard didn't look like he didn't wan't to be there.tys0n wrote: ↑Thu Feb 27, 2020 12:38 pmWell 2001 show was better than 2002 so yes?Busty McCracken wrote: ↑Thu Feb 27, 2020 3:12 amBetter than 02?? Canberra was a terrible place to see them, should have went to the Wollongong show where they played h.

Good luck with getting tickets tomorrow everyone! \m/
So Long, and Thanks for All the Tool.
Re: New Album Touring (with SPOILERS!)
Agree with Busty that the ‘02 tour, production, setlist were marvelous, but it was a different band back then. It was also the tour for my favourite album, so it’s a biased opinion.
Changing topic, has anyone seen Setlist.fm for the first show in Auckland? 7empest played 3rd song and Descending as well, that can’t be right?

Re: New Album Touring (with SPOILERS!)
Give it an hour or so the show should just be about finishing now.
Canned audience laughter
Re: New Album Touring (with SPOILERS!)
And wow looks like they did, almost the entire album in one night, what are they pulling out tomorrow?

Re: New Album Touring (with SPOILERS!)
Oh, that's a cool setlist.
Re: New Album Touring (with SPOILERS!)
That’s an interesting setlist switch up!
Dropping 3-4 songs in place of two massive epics.
Strange to omit Forty Six + 2. Will be keen to see what happens tomorrow night...

So the resale market might've gotten out of the way today. LOTS of tickets still available in all the cities so far.

I was able to get some pretty nice lower level Toledo tix an hour and 15 mins after on-sale. Next up: St. Louis!

Colorado is definitely a shitshow though, much smaller venue. Think I was luckier than most.

Scored primo Danny-View seats for SF. Very stoked for this one. Fingers crossed we get 7empest.
How did you do?

Grabbed excellent lower arena seats right at 10 for the Wilkes-Barre show! The 4 hour drive is only going to hurt after but I’ll be floating if we get 7empest.

And this is why I struggled to get tickets for Colorado Springs. Schism should have been omitted not 46 and 2, but that doesn't matter much at all. It is just fucking awesome that they are pretty much playing the entire FI album. Fuck Yeah!

Re: New Album Touring (with SPOILERS!)
Limeygringo, it was a disaster. I passed on floor seats and the only thing that was available were nose bleed seats. I kept my patience and I got excellent fucking seats!limeygringo wrote: ↑Fri Feb 28, 2020 9:28 am Colorado is definitely a shitshow though, much smaller venue. Think I was luckier than most.
Re: New Album Touring (with SPOILERS!)
Floor seats for SF about half way between front and desk I'm told.

Re: New Album Touring (with SPOILERS!)
Then you're luckier than me! I just settled for nosebleeds cause it's a small venue, I've seen them up close and I just wanted to get tickets before they all got snagged. Not sure if it's totally sold out yet, but it probably will before others if not already.Bobby Bottleservice wrote: ↑Fri Feb 28, 2020 9:17 pmLimeygringo, it was a disaster. Re: New Album Touring (with SPOILERS!)
I am still stunned by the last set list. They removed Schism once in recent times. But pulling Forty Six & 2?... did not see that coming. That NZ set list is near perfection. Hoping like hell they keep it for their return to the states.
Got 6th row floor for Sacramento and 3rd row floor for SF. These recent performances and set lists.. sooo stoked.
