Tool - 1st May 2013 - Entertainment Centre, Adelaide, SA
To add a couple of things, mainly from my chat with Junior:
He's a perfectionist - didn't think the lighting aspect of the show last night went all that well, but from where I was standing it was almost flawless.
We've got pretty much the full production this time around, something he was really happy with. Â Normally they have to make a few concessions when touring shows, but this time around they had pretty much everything.
The glitter confetti and disco ball were Adam's idea. Â Not sure Junior was completely happy with this additions! Â Personally I didn't think it added much to the show.
Tour pretty much came about due to Ozzfest. Â Money was good, and it made sense to add Australia to the tour. Â I think he's expecting this will be the last of the "10,000 Days" set, and that when the new album is done there will be a whole new setup. Â In fact he seemed pretty keen to move on from the current set - after doing it for the last 6 years I be he's quite looking forward to reworking stuff.
They really wanted to go to Perth, but there just wasn't enough time between Coachella and the Ozzfest date to squeeze one in!
Got given a free bottle of 99 Grange when he visited Magill Estate, and then teased some posh business with it at Gaucho's the day before.
Here's the aftershow pass, and a few other pics I took during the show:

Fingers crossed that they don't take too long to come back to the Pacific for the new album tour
re: the chicken, it was a stuffed one, you can see a picture of it on the puscifer instagram
Ah, I see.
Well, it was odd. It wasn't completely crazy for me to assume that it was real.

Actually, the postponement was a saver.
We didn't get into Adelaide until 2.5 hours before the show.
Was a couple people in from first row or whatever you call it. Center left.
Not much to say about the show that hasn't been said. Maynard looked like he was gonna pitch one a few times during the show, from his facial expressions. Seemed to come out after intermission better. Yeah, the rooster was fake. Adam smiled a couple times. Fuck he's getting old. Justin looked high as fuck as always, but rocked it. Danny was the highlight. Every time I see him he seems better. Intension was the better experience tonight. Always nice to hear Opiate though.
Halfway through Aenima we left cuz I had to escort my wife out. She seems to have captured some sort of stomach bug.Â
I had a good time. For the most part the people around us were cool, aside from fuckers that kept shoving each other n shit.
Hope the rest of the tour goes well. Now I need to make it home somehow, back to work.
Leaving Melbourne tomorrow. Est time of flights: 23 hrs. Fuck.

Good to hear you got to see them. Â I presume the VIP thing was a bust? Â
Yep. Other than getting good spots. Not really worth it in the end, nor was it really worth it in the beginning. But hey, I'm a dumbass.

Sup fourtheye
check out this Lateralus jam section, sounds like new material to me. Justin's tone is similar to the new "schism intro", and I remember hearing from a DC interview that Justin is the most prolific with creating the riffs/jams this time around.
theres also some more videos on this guys channel as well
Cheers!
