I ADORED the FEERSUM ENJINN EP that was getting around a few years ago. When he announced that he was FINALLY going to do an album, I was ecstatic.

Only to find out it was primarily the EP, two songs that were from soundtracks (ie, old), a tacked-on track with Carey, and a handful of other, quite mediocre new songs.

So if that's the kind of talent we're dealing with here, he can go such a fat one.

Damn finally watched/listened to this.

How fucking try hard, Paul, maybe you shouldn't have left the band, too late now to make up for past mistakes with wannabes
^ Oh that's rich. Tyson calling anyone a wannabee is a fucking joke. Tyson is the kind of guy that would get into a scrap at a bar and spend 10 minutes pontificating about how much of a poser the other guy is only to promptly get his ass handed to him as soon as he shuts his mouth.

What? Tyson is a hard muthafucka! He is not beyond choking the odd bouncer now and again, then beating the rap. Don't fuck with him, Mog, he's straight gangsta.

Oh I know he is OG Showtime. Mister "Ass Up Against the Wall" and "I am Pretty Strong". Love the way he re-posts ad nauseum and pretends he isn't trolling, claiming to be doing the internet a public service like some sort of vigilante World Wide Web Superhero. Tyson from Australia, saving the internet from itself since 2001. Representing Long Bay hard core 187 for life.

Well, this thread took a nasty turn.

I blame Paul D'Amour.

I believe that Paul D'Amour is responsible for all of our problems. If he hadn't left the band or gotten fired or whatever we would probably have like 15 Tool albums by now.

I doubt it. He wrote half the songs on Aenima and they were all quality. If anything, Adam's guitar playing has gone to shit.

I liked Paul's playing more. Justin wrote 46&2 and Jimmy so I can't bitch about him too much.

I still wonder what direction Tool would have taken after Aenima if it wasn't for Paul being kicked out?

Lateralus was a good album but it was too structured and had a feeling the next one wouldn't be anywhere near as good. My instinct sort of came true.

Been following Tim for a while now - a close friend of Maynards from what I can tell. Well worth following if you're in Instagram.

Was MTVoid any better?

The idea of a side project is to release a load in musical form.

Agree with that Crow says - at least MTvoid was something different. If Justin had just come out and recorded and alt rock record that was bland I'd have been pretty disappointed. Regardless of what you think of MTvoid, there's not really much out there that sounds like it.

There isn't. It is interesting to say the least. Do I spin it every now and then in my car? The answer is a big FUCK NO!

Knowing what he sings about doesn't help - it's verbal diarrhea.

Thank you fellas got a good laugh out of that this morning. Crazy part is I have no doubt he will sell the shit out of them if he does. Makes you wonder if they are going to do some kind of "21st" anniversary Sober re-release at a buck fity a pop with a limited run skull head included batch for 200 hundred bones. You know those Toolios will drop at least 50 on that head.
