I literally GAVE you all ten films that will change your life and alter your subconscious and all I get was an "ignore him and he'll go away" comment.

I didn't have to do that. I didn't have to do any of that - but I did. Perhaps in future I won't bother.

Aliens? Terminator? Pulp Fiction? I mean...c'mon. This kind of thing is ok for the Korn fans but...heck I'd expect a little more from fourtheye. And that's a compliment.

Also....Paris, Texas is better than Wings Of Desire.

No they were too busy watching a film where Van Damme and Bruce Willis blow shit up and drive around in a hot corvette shooting bad guys and rescuing blonde girls with big tits. And it all takes place in an abandoned oil refinery and there's a pumping soundtrack and a sultry J Lo number during the "steamier" parts.

Jon Voigt makes a cameo at some point as a grizzled veteran chief who dies a day before he's about to retire.

LOL. I concur. For whats its worth I enjoyed your clips and the effort, sorry I didn't comment.

I don't know what you're talking about. Everybody has been pretty cool as far I've seen. The only problem is whatever has been making the low whining sound.

None of my choices were action films, all you did was laugh at my list, but thanks anyway.
I've seen Come and See and Snowtown, both very depressing and great films.

Down by Law - Jim Jarmusch does nothing for me, so PASS

L'immoralità - "Federico is a child-killer running from the law. Wounded, he is taken in by a 12 year old girl named Simona. Their strange love affair is interrupted by Simona's depressed, oversexed mother..."

PASS

Muholland Drive - Muh Lesbian symbolism PASS

The Bitter Tears Of Petra Von Kant - MUH LESBIAN DRAMA, PASS

The Mirror - Tarkovsky, nuff said PASS

Manhattan - Muh neurotic jewish comedy PASS

Mean Streets - Been meaning to see this, but I doubt it's even one of Scorsese's best

Even Dwarfs Started Small - Been meaning to have a look at this Herzong chap.

I was "laughing" to be sure - but it was a mild, pleasant, slightly chuffed laughed. Not a condescending, acidic one.

Don't pass on The Mirror. And not just you but everyone here. It left an impression on me and well......

Y'know.

Also, lesbianism has its merits.

Maybe it's just me.

Could be tinnitus. Though I'm not sure how I would've gotten that.

Top 10

1. Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring
2. El Laberinto del Fauno
3. Star Wars (A New Hope)
4. Transformers (2007)
5. The Fountain
6. The Silence of the Lanbs
7. Drive
8. Das Boot
9. Fight Club
10. Toy Story 3

I must add that a top 25 would add some other titles that would give a fairer view of my taste in general.

Yo Calfium Jay, movie elitism is far worse then music elitism these days.
Like mention a few obscure (more or less) titles just because you can. I mean, I've had that phase when I was young. I grew past it and now I enjoy movies. Because it entertains me, not because I'm the only one who remembers the title. ;)

Watched Let The Right One In again last night for the first time in a while, and instantly remember why that used to be on my top 10, and probably still should. So amazing.

Also happy to see The Fountain get two other mentions! Nice taste, gents.

Can't argue with that. This stuff it entirely subjective of course, but The Fountain is totally an odd movie. Just hits all my sweet spots in a way few movies ever have.

I loved Downfall but not for such obvious reasons. The whole thing came off campy for me, I found it hilarious.

I loved watching them descend into chaos.

Face it, those Nazis had it coming - with their artsy fartsy party food and their nouveau riche, bourgeois uppityness.
