it just feels like a project that run’s its course figured this may come in handy rather than posting all new APC news in the Tour thread. Given there is a new album coming "soon" this thread may get http://www.thedramacool.org/.

Perhaps I'm out of touch with the youth of today, but I'm surprised that FFDP are headlining over Judas Priest as well. It's a pretty weak lineup, aside from APC and Clutch there's not much in it that interests me.

Five Finger Death Punch are pretty huge right now. I'm not sure about Judas Priest's staying power though, I don't feel like they have much of an audience with the younger crowd.

I guess that's the crux of the matter. Day 2 on that festival seem very much like a younger crowd lineup, with the exception of Saxon and Judas Priest.

I don't really hear anyone speaking about FFDP though, so not sure where the hype has come from. I don't think I've ever heard a song of theirs.

Five Finger Death Punch get a decent of amount airplay here in the states. Though to be honest I haven't really heard a lot of people talk about them either. I think they're a band mostly for casual music listeners I think.

Yeah, Five Finger Death Punch is massive in the US. They are one of the most popular modern metal bands here. They are not my thing, but they have a lot of very passionate fans. LOTS of bros.
It is a bummer Judas Priest isn't headlining, they are still one of the best live bands. But guess that's the way it goes with popularity.
Anyway at least stoners can go see APC and Clutch on 420 in Nevada where weed is legal and will be sold in shops by the time of the event.

Clutch BEFORE Ghost. Disgraceful. haha.

Good for Ghost with a large fan base, but I honestly don''t get the appeal with them!. Pretty mediocre.

From what I read on Facebook it may translate into this:

DISILLUSIONED
"We have been overrun by our animal desire / Addicts of the immediate keep us obedient and unaware / Feeding this mutation, this pavlovian despair / We've become disillusioned / So we run towards anything glimmering
Willingly been re-wired by clever agents within / Looping our reflections, our obsessions draw us in / Fix and fixation, no sentience beyond / We've become disillusioned / So we dive like crows towards anything glittering
Tome to put the silicon obsession down / Take a look around, find a way in the silence / Lie supine away w your back to the ground / Dis and re connect to the resonance now / You were never an island
Unique voice among the many in this choir / Tuning in to each other, lift all higher"

Waiting for me "I hate it when Maynard get's all preachy" posts when this new track gets released.

I like it. Not a big fan of the momentum-killer in the middle but overall I dig this.

what puzzles me is the Vinyl release. the doomed & disillusioned on a 10" disk available von March 9, 2018 . does that mean we won't see the new album in the near future?

Good song. Think it is put together well. One of Billy's recent interviews he was saying how giving a song " room to breathe" can add to it. I think this song is an example of what he is referring to. It makes me curious about what the flow of the album will be like when it does come out.

It's about a minute and a half too long.
