Re: New Album Touring (with SPOILERS!)

Hey Junior. Question for ya. How much these days are you in actual conversation with the band in arranging the visual show etc. Just curious around the logistics of it all once a band reaches this level of success and you're obviously very trusted by the band given the longevity of the relationship...

Went to see "The Comedians Following Tool on Tour: The Tour" tonight in Austin.
Funny fellas, if you get the chance to see them in your town.

Re: New Album Touring (with SPOILERS!)

Ah shit Norm. Old age is a hell of a drug... Really? I seem to remember him just starting at the kit. I tried to check out some LA YT clips for CCT, but none of them started at the gong. Thanks for the info. Fuck yeah, they would generate a shit load of revenue for live streams. I’d buy a damn seas...

Re: New Album Touring (with SPOILERS!)

Junior, any insight as to why the side screens/extensions are gone this tour? edit: also serious nerd question, but is that transmitter Adam seems to be wearing linked to the follow spots above? The projection drape that starts the show got widened during the Christmas break. The side screens no lo...

Hi junior, since you have been pretty active on Fourtheye, I thought I would ask you... I'll be seeing Tool back to back this coming weekend in Vegas and in Glendale. I have floor seats for Vegas only, so I was thinking of going and saying hi. Can I go up to your work area or is it pretty restricte...

So does Adam just rip Rush off and we didnt know ? haha ;) Many people have over the years. I'm guilty of it. Their Lighting Designer (Howard Ungerleider) is one of my biggest influences. He was with them for about 44 years. i heard a podcast with that guy a couple of years ago. is he the same one ...

Not really. At least, not where anyone else can hear.
Hey Junior, are all of these rigs part of the Tool convoy?

Junior, if possible, please encourage the band to start playing 7empest somewhere in their sets on this early part of the tour. That would be awesome! Thanks :)

Re: Random Tool Social Media thread

2001 was a great tour. in ways it was the end of the old tool sort of. in 2002 things changed. Definitely. For starters, Lateralus was the end of smaller venues, but more to the point, the live show introduced a lot more of the theatrics, lighting etc that weren't part of the show prior. The Aenima...

Re: New Album Touring (with SPOILERS!)

If I may ask, who controls the tool logo behind the band? That thing came to life during the show and it was amazing to see! I control the lights that are mounted to it, but our automation guy (Fred) controls the movement of the star itself, and Scott (lasers) traces it with laser effects now and a...

Is the GA area at Rod Laver sloped?
The main floor is a tennis court, so quite flat.
The upper seating is sloped.

My idea of what a VIP could/should entail: Free/VIP parking if the venue demands it On arrival guests are taken to a suite, where there are chairs, food and a bar (make it no booze if you're worried about people getting hammered). Any downtime should be spent here (we all understand that touring sc...

Re: New Album Touring (with SPOILERS!)

More a question for Junior I guess but do we always get the full Tool set up here in Oz due to the logistics? Historically, it had always been difficult to get at least some portion of the show there. It's a mix of what can be shipped vs. what can be sourced locally, balanced with how long they are...
