Re: Random Tool Social Media thread

Hey junior as an industry insider did you ever have much to do with AJ Maddah? Is he a pariah now in the music industry? Understand if you don't want to gossip like a Liz or Busty. Knew of him, but can't say I know him. Might have met once or twice, but don't recall. There's usually a level or 2 of...

Re: Random Tool Social Media thread

Big Day Out is no more, hasn't been a thing for quite a few years. Yeah, it ended a while ago. I did a few of those with several different bands. The former Production Manager for BDO (and Soundwave) has been the Production Manager for Tool for a few years, now. The former lighting crew chief for t...

Australian's stealing American's jobs, deplorable.
We've got loads of Aussies, now.
2 of the video crew and 1 of the sound crew, as well.

3 Canadians and 2 ex-Canadians.
3 from the UK, and 1 Belgian.

So international, we are.

Re: Random Tool Social Media thread

Puscifer ramping up now to tag-team the summer festival circuit next year. Maybe giving MJK music for the road? Puscifer supporting act for (what’s it called?), “Big Day Out” in Australia next summer? Big Day Out is no more, hasn't been a thing for quite a few years. Yeah, it ended a while ago. I d...

Blair is in charge of selling those...
This was great; written about Blair, in his own style.
In retrospect, I should have redacted some names to make it more cryptic.
Also, the tangents weren't far enough off the path.
I was in a hurry to get somewhere, so I kept it brief.

Re: New Album Touring

I always thought in the booth slightly behind Junior with your breath slightly brushing his nape as he (and you) pulls and presses during the gig would be the optimal fan experience. Those are very costly tickets. Go on... Blair is in charge of selling those. You have to meet up with him at Mandala...

I always wondered how juniors lighting set up is at his house. Could imagine shagging him in his bed and then the descending lights just wave all over you. Anyone else think about that?
No.

@junior, I probably don't, but do you happen to know if these upcoming shows have the standard VIP option or is it just a presale? I appreciate the insight. Sources seem mixed and vague.
I don't know, unfortunately. That info is above my pay grade.

Re: Fear Inoculum with SPOILERS

I feel like this had the potential to be a epic album but whoever mixed it did a horrible job. So many areas where the drums and bass were too soft compared to Adams guitar. Vocals are either too loud or way too soft and muffled. The classic background sound effects that Tool has in songs was way t...

Bullshit
+1
MJK was in the building, not picking grapes in his grape smugglers. He could have said, what’s up.
Wasn't he talking about the Tool Clinics, not just the usual VIP things at normal shows?
I think he meant the clinics.

Re: Fear Inoculum with SPOILERS

@junior , do you know how the band feel about the leak at all? I imagine disappointed but inevitable. Is 5 days out considered a win? I haven’t talked to any of them this week, so not sure. I can’t imagine they are thrilled about it. I do suppose the pre-orders help to lessen the disappointment.

Where is btw the 20 minute song? Or is it the combination of CCT en 7empest?
Exaggeration on reviewers part who didn't have tracklist and lengths during the listening sessions.
That's my guess, or they counted the segue that follows it.

I think 7empest might be a staple in these run of shows just like D/R/T was during the Lateralus era.

Just needs a bunch of naked dudes swinging from the ceiling.
Technically, one of those is female.
The other one is a Demogorgon.

Re: Tool - is this their last album?

After years of wanting one and watching bootlegs over and over and over, I only want a Tool bluray if it is going to have 1 flat, total state angle, then one angle angle for each band member, allowing you to switch between them yourself as you watch. If they can't do that, I am fine with bootlegs. ...

I've also heard that it will have a randomizer included to change Blair's rant to one of 7 different topics each time you open it. One of the rants will sync up to the album, while 3 others will appear to sync up when (in reality) they don't. 2 of the remaining will actually be interesting, but have...

Re: Tool concept album?

My understanding is that the video that plays on the packaging is just Blair doing an unboxing, but then getting sidetracked and talking about something else for somewhere between 60-90 minutes.
