I don't think that 7 minute clip or anything Danny does during these little solos after the intermission will be exactly the same as whatever they've recorded for the album. I think he's just sharing bits and pieces of the whole thing without giving too much away, hence the 'trailer' reference again, similar to what they did with Descending.

Do you consider Triad a song? Intension? I trust the band's judgment here.

Triad and intension are totally different. That's the BAND jamming. I'm just speculating that if CCtrip is taking up 7 minutes of album time in it's current form played live I will be disappointed. That's all.

They've spent at a guess about 8-10 minutes average on segues since Aenima so if you expect anything less id assume you're ultimately setting yourself up for disappointment.

And my comment wasnt solely directed at you. We have sat here on this forum waiting for this fucking album for a decade.so much shit has happened collectively in our lives in that time and here we are finally, on the brink of the new albums release. We have two new songs , albeit live recordings and the response is unanimous in their praise.

Yet there is complaints of album length, not enough songs, too many segues , lack of announcement on album title/ track listing, delays in release date, Maynard doesn't sing for long enough in descending. Debate and speculate away, that's what this thread is here for. It's just...We have new Tool coming in just over two months and I for one am fucking excited. If it's 5 songs and 3 segues then that's 5 songs and 3 segues I don't currently have from my favorite band so hell.. I'll take it with open arms

This is true. I'll take whatever they throw at me and love it. I just get antsy. 13 fucking years and I want to digest this album and love every second of it. When I read about 5-6 songs and 7 minute drum solos it brings me down from my excitement high and makes me nervous. especially since I've already digested 25 minutes of the album. premature ejaculation! I'm sure it's just an overreaction because it's so close now. Torture.

Well, I think we all just want the kind of album you can put on in the background and tap your foot along to whilst doing other stuff ya know? An all rounder so to speak. No answer phone messages no electricity noises just a good old fashioned foot tapper.

I was concerned about the length of the songs until I heard descending and invincible and that got rid of any doubts about that. I'd still rather actual songs than drum solos or segues though and I do actually like tools segues! It's not a complaint just a preference.

If CCTrip is 10 minutes long, you've still got 45 minutes left after Descending and Invincible.

It's going to be OK everybody.

In fact, I'm sure it will be more than OK. It will be the Cats Pajamas with Bees sewn on to the Knees.

While everyone is worrying about a drum solo that is quite a bit shorter than the numbers I’m seeing thrown around....

Thanks for the story, junior! I've been watching live videos from this tour this morning (specially the Download ones) and it seems that this time around the band is "rocking out with each other" a lot more compared to previous tours. From that concert there's Adam on Maynard action during Aenema, and Adam on Justin during Jambi, at the beginning. It just seems to me that they are so happy to be a band right now, which is heartwarming to see. This is the Jambi I was talking about:

I just want it to be August 30th already, does not matter the number of songs, they are Tool, quality is assured. They will not disappoint the fans, of course there will be people that won’t like the album, its expected, there can’t be love for this album if there is no disconformity from others; it’s part of it, we even have a “grudge section” on the forums lol .... Either way we are getting new length quality songs... after that we can start pushing/whining for more .:: lol

68 days...

I thought most of us had sensory deprivation tanks installed for the new album.

In all seriousness, if the new album came with a platonic sensory deprivation tank, that would be nice, but that's a tall order.

A platonic sensory deprivation tank is probably more of a venti order. A tall order would be a full-length movie that is compatible with an Oculus Rift type device.

Are Starbucks global? Just making sure this joke crosses American't borders okay.
