Uh Tyson first your post being an ass stating you are Allen and Polanski fan but love their movies, implying my definition and interpretation of what a fan is and means in the fullest sense was flawed. Specifically as a tongue in cheek reply to me saying I am not a fan of Tool but I appreciate their music. What you called a joke later initially intended as as a jab.
Both Woody Allen and Roman Polanski are reprehensible people, with Woody marrying his foster child and Roman drugging and raping a 13yr old girl then skipping the country and moving to Europe. Both are still lauded as geniuses for their films and have a massive fan base.
So when I said I was a fan of them but not their movies I was flipping the expectation of what usually occurs, implying I'm a fan of their heinous actions in life but not of their lauded films, thus in where the comedy lies.
Which in turn was suppose to spark debate on how one separates the art from the artist and can it be done? Can one appreciate say the music of Charles Manson even though it came from such an evil man?
In conclusion, you're a fool.
Also to boil down this argument you're having with she who must not be named, you're simply a fan of the music produced by Tool but not the band itself.
So you're a fan of Tool's music.
