So based on Alex Greys comments on his Instagram I think the album will have some sort of screen or a live animation. He states the art is indeed his, but it is also a collaboration with many other artists (like the CGI team in the vicarious video). The animation has the same "glow" or 3d effect. Also, this is all banking of the rumor of some kind of battery in the package. I'm assuming it will be some kind of "normal" cd release. Possibly a lp. But to also get a limited or deluxe version with some sort of live animation screen/ hologram possibly . Regardless I'm really excited to read him say it's only a glimpse of the whole thing. While I like the look of the teaser I can only assume it's only a very small part of a larger surprise we are in store for. Any thoughts?

I had inferred based on Alex Greys comments just before the drop this week about the fact the album would have a live screen and the "cover" we are seeing is merely a frame from the beginning of a more epic or fuller image.

Today it occured to me that there are no "bundle editions" being offered that are so common now a days, ie a hoodie, lp slip mat, shirts, etc. This may be because the true cover image or images (video stills) are yet to be revealed when we finally get our hands on the packaging. We should be seeing a lot more material for the merch and tour posters I'm sure.

On another note, I am full on in awe of the new track on the second day in. The first day i had a strange experience of not being able to "find the groove" or pick up any lyrical melody that was catchy or stood out. I realise it's because the song is so dense with transitions and multiple riffs and it is just as Carey had described it as classical in its movements. I did not dislike what I heard but I couldn't really fall in love with it like I had hoped. However this morning on the first listen I finally picked up on the transitions, the tempo shift during the chorus and of course the thundering Carey fills at the crescendo. Its quickly becoming may be one of my top 3 favorite tool tracks. I'm so thrilled to be remembering why I was obsessed with this band when Ænima and Lateralus came out when I was a kid. I could not be more excited to see the packaging and artwork though!

Had no expectations, but I am awed by this song. It forfeit any concerns I had. I am a genocide scholar and I can tell you, theoretically this hits close.to.base (But I do not want to ruin other interpertations, mine is just that; another interpretation.) Excellent song.

100% agree. The opening line is so centering. But they take you through many moods before the exit. Even after the long time coming line they do that weird dark key change. The solo works through some of the excess psychic energy, but the final order in Danny’s pounding percussion is the true release.
