Terrible video. The new album doesn't hold up to repeat listens in any way, shape or form. Disappointing followup to their last album.

It's shitty what he did, for sure. But mother of fucking god, he kicked a CAMERA. He was very, very clearly (and yes, intentionally) trying to kick the camera lens, which he did. He did not "KICK A WOMAN IN THE HEAD" as every fucking clickbait headline has said. The world is a fucking cesspool all around. #sendnukes

I didn't say it wasn't assault. It is. But he was going for a camera. He was trying to kick a camera out of a photog's (in this case, a female photog no less) hands, while it was in front of her face.

And like it or not, this is different than "kicking a woman in the head." The intent is different. It's stupid, moronic, mean, unnecessary assault, etc. But... details do matter. I loathe and tire of the continual hyper-sensationalizing of every fucking thing under the sun by the media, that's all.

I don't know. Intent matters sometimes, but does it matter that a shooter was aiming for a person's shirt instead of them when they shot them?

Homme may have been going for the camera but it was right by her face and aiming a kick at something that somebody is holding up to their head is frankly a good way to kick somebody in the head intended or not.

If I go out driving and I run somebody over than I ran somebody over. Doesn't matter if I intended to or not, that's what happened.

Im all for hating on media for being unethical but just because Josh said in a lame arse twitter quote he was just trying to kick a camera and had no knowledge of hurting anyone doesnt mean this is true anyway.

Hold a bit of timber right in front of your face and I'll slam it straight into ya and I'm pretty confident you'd hold a different opinion. It's assault and his original apology and excuse is a piss poor effort. Blaming the media is essentially validating his behaviour, at least to me anyway

The key here is to avoid clickbait media. He did a shitty thing, I don't think he should be crucified, but personally I haven't read too much that is overly sensationalising the issue.

Fair call in that you weren't laying blame solely on the media but what you are doing is essentially trivialising what's happened by deflecting attention and bringing up as arguments:

1: I'm sick of media sensationalist reports.... as Hellboy said and I agree, I'm yet to see this occur in this instance.

2: HE KICKED THE CAMERA. It's attempting to justify his actions. By saying yeah he's a dick BUT he only kicked the camera youre making excuses about it which is in my opinion kinda pathetic.

I'm with Raven, fuck Josh Homme and I hope she takes legal action so he can see how it felt when he took Kyuss lives to task.
