I refuse to not get hyped up & believe that we will have new tool music released before the year is out. I mean tell me once that this band has made us wait or not met our expectations on a timeline.. ill wait...

That last bit is good news. Seems his hand injury recovered. Right?
I would think so. I haven't seen him in many months, so all I've heard about there being an injury is what we all saw online.

I never had 8 Track. My neighbors had it, and I always thought it was inferior. Sometimes songs would just stop or change mid-song if the track ran out of space. They were portable, but weren't for me. I recorded my records onto cassette for on-the-go stuff.
8-track, reel-to-reel, and DAT are probably the only formats I haven't had.

This is plenty off-topic, I suppose, but there's not much on-topic these days besides the new merch store. Oh, and Danny is playing gigs with the Doug Webb Group and Jamie Kime Group at the Baked Potato soon (May 22 and 27, respectively), and also in San Diego with Doug Webb at Queen Bee's on May 7.

ya no kidding, off topic is kinda not true at all! the fact Danny is doing well with that serious sounding injury is really good news. Also, im always going off topic but its just the way my head works! or not works ? ha. whatever. Hope he continues to do well with that obviously. Msr2, it was his pectoral muscle not his hand.

True, 8 tracks i think were also known to easily damage and the tape would get tangled etc, etc. They would fade out and back when the track would switch. 4 times it would happen thru an album and it made quite a loud noise when it switched. The sound quality wasnt bad though, a pretty nice warm analog feel but they def had issues, hence why they didnt last long im assuming. After that it was tapes for me. Motley Crue, Def Leppard, Quite Riot... but once my friend that lived upstairs lent me Exit Stage Left, Rush quickly became my favourite. How Canadian of me, eh ?

Get in touch with youtube concerning the copyright (if that's copyright case).

Haha yep!

Someone took the time to combine a bunch of clips and uploaded as one edited together video for other tool fans to watch and enjoy for free. What's the problem here exactly?

i said its fine but not when people try to make money off stuff they got for free. i have ad blockers so i dont know if thats the case over this one. Most people, i think ? dont really do that but its around. Most the time people that complain about stuff like this never shared anything themselves in the first place and complain about others that do  and i never put it on Youtube in the first place! so f off! haha

illegally taped ? like interviews and live footage on tv from muchmusic ? oook

I appreciate that but i wouldnt do anything with copyright, its not mine in that sense. you have a point about people uploading certain things on youtube that whoever might not be into. I was happy to share stuff back in 2009 but i wasnt realizing what was going on with youtube and it just got bigger as time went on with the Subs/Ads bullshit. I shared it for the love of a hobby, not so some asshole could make money off things he found that others had sourced from years of taping stuff, transferring it etc, etc. That might not even be the case with this which is great! Anyway, just had to mention it cause ive seen my transfers pop up often enough.

sorry Spoonman, somehow your quote got messed up. i dont want to screw around with it anymore, someone might upload it to youtube, haha.
