I think they've been doing fine, Kittie's got one of the best responses yet.  James just turned a lot of people off by picking that Tankanian solo album first.

I didn't get a chance to hear his eventual pick, though I plan to this week hopefully.

Personally I prefer the album concept, as the idea here (for me) is to get people to review the album as a body of work - warts and all rather than cherry picking the best tracks from an artist.

One album a week and yes anyone can join but there is a list.  Just ask Hellboy to add you to the bottom of it.

I, personally, would not like that, as I think using an album to "sell" a band is a good way for the listener to get a sense of how they really are. If you just make a "best of" playlist of a group or band, it can end up being very misleading.

Not to mention that a lot of bands we seem to be into here are fond of releasing concept albums. Cutting them up can really fuck the whole experience up.
