All this arguing about an album you guys probably won't listen to anyway, so productive.
I'm sure as Hell not going to listen to it. Big fan of PUSCIFER's work (in general), but I have an incredibly low tolerance for remixes (with the exception of special cases).
That's a bit extreme is it not? You'll literally not even give the album a listen?

Honestly, I'd rather have a Puscifer live album/DVD than the APC one that's in the works. But I have a feeling that opinion won't be looked upon too lightly here.
I'll agree with that statement. Puscifer live > APC live. If it were APC from 1999-2004, that's a different story..
Blair's latest post on toolband indicated that May Jay is working on "dvds" of some sort.Â

Hey! Denty!
Hahahah, the album cover is worth the price alone
The remixes are gonna be ace like the Viagra re-mixes.
And I doublt MJK has much to do with the mixes as stated. He just picked the artists he loves and wants to remix his stuff and lets them go. Cant wait.
(you crybabies will get a new Tool whenever/if it happens) Dont pause life.

No more extreme than you having an aversion to putting your dick in a crocodile's mouth. I've heard PUSCIFER remixes before; I don't like them; I don't feel the need to listen to any more, ever again. If someone wants to convince me otherwise, I'll give it a go, but I have very little interest.
I hardly think that's extreme. I've heard GREEN DAY before. I never want to hear anything they release ever again. It just isn't something I enjoy.
I'd make a comment about fanbois or whatever here, but really, I don't think anything needs to be said.

'The Internet is full of extremists'
Much like someone that would say Maynard likely spent 2 days working on this remix album. Really? I think he takes more pride in his brand than that. He has as much to do with a 'remix' as he has to do with the instrumentation of all his efforts. Doesn't mean he plays instruments or is a program prodigy. He's an artist and arranges as he sees fit in accordance with his vision. You can't fuckin tell me this guy sits on his ass and pays people to create all of the music and he just sings to it, I don't think so. He has a big say in it trust me.

I wouldn't and haven't said this. Â The original Puscifer albums I expect he's very hands on. Â The remixes, not so much. Â I doubt we're going to agree on that though, so let's just leave it at that.

No I know. I was kinda combining my response to both urs and other dudes comments. I wasn't specific.
And yes, what puscifer means by remix is a 'reinterpretation'. Which in my opinion can have just as much to do with the original artist as the original.
Except in this case, it has literally nothing to do with the original members (beyond what I imagine to be something similar to an "administrative" or "executive producer" role).
Monsters (Deconstruct) remixed by Mat Mitchell
The Green Valley (Verde River Maestro 507 mix) remixed by Rani Sharone (Stolen Babies)
Monsoons (JLE Motorik mix) remixed by Josh Eustis
Telling Ghosts (Giorgia O’Queef mix) remixed by Carina Round
Horizons (Dream of a Lie remix) by John Fryer (This Mortal Coil)
Man Overboard (11AD remix) by Alain Johannes
Toma (Burn Out remix) by Five Knives
The Rapture (JLE Needs Service mix) by Josh Eustis
Conditions of My Parole (F.U.B.A.R. remix) by Sir Mix-A-Lot
The Weaver (Virtual Vacuum remix) by Aaron Harris (PALMS)
Oceans (Green Mussel Mix) by Zac Rae
Tumbleweed (Delusions of Grandeur mix) by The Beta Machine
As we can see, ONE core member has contributed a "remix/reimagining".
