Nine Inch Nails
I'll be at the first few shows in Minnesota and Kansas City (got tickets - both GA) but I'm probably going to do one more (St. Louis or Toronto) if anyone's keen for a beer or several. Travelling around the States during my two weeks off work.
I'm pretty excited to be attending the very first show of the new tour - where's a good place to hang out in St. Paul before the show?

I'll be coming from Milwaukee that day, and I obviously don't live there but did go to the Tool show/River's Edge last year and it's pretty much right next to Harriet Island. We wound up just walking around that area and found some decent restaurant/bar places. For food and drinks you won't find a shortage of places to go within walking distance:

^^^ EDIT: shit, not sure why google maps won't save a link. I just typed in the "Xcel Energy Center St. Paul", and "searched nearby: bars"
Generic triangle avatar lives on.

- You like noisy music?
- Yes. The louder the better. Stops me from thinking.
- You don't like to think? What do you like?
- Never thought about it.

Oh, fuck. Where to begin.
That was one of the laziest music videos I've ever seen. There were flashes of brilliance, to be sure. But for the most part, a repetitive, boring, piece of shit to match a boring, repetitive, song.
Lynch. Come on, man. What the fuck.
Gonna listen to "BROKEN" and play "GOTHAM CITY IMPOSTORS". Yeah, fuck you, I have no friends.

Well, nearly finished with "BROKEN", and frankly, I'm disgusted.
"THE FRAGILE" wasn't supposed to be balls, and that's why I liked it. It was art, and a little bit cheekily "new".
Going from "BROKEN" all the way through to whatever bullshit this fucking dickhead thinks that he's doing now is laughable.
And I cry. Good tunes, brothers and sisters. They are to be had, if you wander back through the NIN discog.
Don't go forward. Ugh.
Gonna listen to either COIL or FOETUS to calm me down. I NEED TO BE CALMED DOWN.

And what, exactly, was the point of the epileptic flashes? It's almost as if they wanted a response.
Dull, boring, and lazy.
See: "Perfect Drug" on how to do a classy NIN music video.
Fucking hell. Maybe I'm just old. Or Reznor isn't old enough.
Totally agree with you on "Perfect Drug". That's still to this day one of my favorite music videos. The song is ok musically but Trent has just lost it lyrically ever since he wrote "With Teeth". I still love to listen to that album and anything after it because sonically it's all very pleasing but I'd rather he wrote some more heartfelt "REAL" stuff...
It was inevitable though... success is a creativity killer. Wife, kid, everlasting gobstopping money... Comfort... the root of all complacence.
I'm hoping there are some gems on the new album. I'm still buying it because I've always supported Trent and anyone on that side of the business (as far as genre goes). Maybe we'll get another "Ghosts" album out of him before he hangs up his coat forever.

First track. And "Sunspots". And I think it's called "Beside you in time"? Really not sure. Hammered.
He can, actually, write good lyrics. And music to match it.
Might throw off my beautiful TODAY IS THE DAY for "WITH TEETH". Just for fun.

Yeah we all know he's very capable. He's much better at what he does when he's in pain though. Although "The Fragile" is my favorite album and that's when he decided to clean himself up... But I'll assume cleaning up was farm more painful than giving in.
