It's not necessarily the Dre connection that bothers me, it's just that do we really need another music streaming service? Even one with these little twists? I am a big NIN/Reznor fan but I don't give a shit what he's listening to at the moment.

Agreed - there's a whole bunch of streaming services out there (admittedly none that I really like enough to use). I don't know that the world needs another unless there are some really compelling features. So far this just smacks to me of just an endorsement without any real merit.

Then again, the main issue with streaming for me has more been about the selection of music. Streaming is great if you listen to plenty of major label acts, but again and again I find half the artists I actually want to listen to don't appear in their libraries, and I end up just downloading it or grabbing it on Bandcamp.

My favorite part has to be the guy throwing up the Devil's Horns (\m/) during the vocal solo on Even Deeper (I think).

To recap this day of NIN:

- Edited free stream of Tension
- Tension DVD/BRD w/extras to be released In Spring time
- Trent reddit AMA
- ^^^ includes that the plan is to tour US again in '14
- current lineup includes TR, Cortini, Finck, and Ilan (out goes Pino, Eustis, and back up singers- my guess is he'll add another member)

^ all good, but I was hoping to see the back-up girls in Oz, to be entirely honest ... hadn't listened to that incarnation purposely just in case they were coming ... I've seen NIN a number of times with varying line-ups and considering the new record pretty much eats dick, I was hoping they'd help make it somewhat acceptable

agreed ... I'd likely describe my office phone as quietly content, for the most part ... the stack of papers, on the other hand, seems quite disturbed by the scissors lying nearby

Just finished watching this, it was awesome. The songs from the new album have SO much more life in a concert setting. Great show great set list. Although the show I went to got the first ever performance of "All the Love in the World" :P

To ME, NIN is seriously this close to being on Tool's level live. 9/10

Bah, blasphemy. Other way around for me- tours and set lists are always different, along with production. They're both getting older and voices are reflecting that now but Trent's seems to holding up slightly better (or it's possible MJK truly doesn't give a shit).

Either way it's 1 and 2 as far as the "live experience" things go, and I can't even name even a distant #3. Truth be told NIN and Tool have ruined other live acts for me.

Nine Inch Nails February Shows in Tokyo

Trent Reznor and his new crew blew away Fuji Rock last year, musically as well as visually with their amazing stage design (watch it here). On Christmas Eve they announced that they will be coming back to Japan for two smaller club shows in Tokyo:

2014.02.25 – Tokyo Studio Coast
2014.02.26 – Tokyo Studio Coast

Studio Coast has a capacity of approx. 2400 people. Nothing, for a metropolitan area with 30 million inhabitants like Tokyo…

Tickets will first only be available to Creativeman 3A members, in a few days. Regular sale through eplus, lawson ticket and ticket pia will start on January 18th, 10am, (Japan time). The servers will break down for sure since ticket sale for Rolling Stones and Bob Dylan starts on the same day…

If you have trouble navigating through the Japanese site and/or don’t have a Japanese credit card or address, check out our ticket service. Make sure to contact us as soon as possible, if you want to purchase through us, as we might be able to participate in the pre-order lotteries.

There will only be one ticket category: general admission tickets (with a ticket number which determines the order of entry)

Official price: JPY 9,000 (excl. one compulsory drink ticket which will cost JPY 500 at the doors)

02.25.2014 - Tokyo, Japan, Studio Coast
02.26.2014 - Tokyo, Japan, Studio Coast

03.01.2014 - Pattaya, Thailand, Silverlake Music Festival
