Two weeks into 2014 and it's already getting dismissed?

Until Tool come out and say "we are releasing album XXX on date mm/dd/yyyy" I can't see any Tool fan getting overly optimistic about a release date.

Maynard got the music last October. The music is recorded. According to Danny it takes Maynard and Adam a few months to wrap up their parts. I think it's very realistic it's out BEFORE the Mexico trip

Don't forget.. Adam is a newly married. And had a new baby. Maynard has one on the way. You really think they don't wanna get this thing done before it gets more difficult. I bet they wanna bust this album out before life takes over completely... And live off the new album revenue for the next 6 years.

It's not just a case of Maynard getting the music and then recording the vocals over it. Maynard may not be involved in the main songwriting sessions, but I have no doubt that the music will change to suit the vocals he puts to the music.

Also, I'd say it's just about impossible for Tool to have recorded an album without anyone knowing about it.

Know about what? Not trying to be negative here, just realistic. As far as I know there is no evidence to suggest they have finished songwriting, let alone recorded the album. I'm happy to be shown otherwise.
