It appears Maynard's LA home in the Griffith Park/Hollywood Hills area is up for sale. Is that a bad sign for Tool's future?

I would assume he's assuming he spends time there to do some music projects, see friends, make movies from time to times, maybe even work in the Loft or other studio/s with TOOL, possibly. But I assume what H to the boy is assuming for really is that Maynard wants us to believe he doesn't spend time in LA because of the various reasons we already know about from previous works, etc...but on the contrary, does spend a lot of time in the fair city of Los Angeles. That would be a contradiction I assume with most TOOL fans, assuming they care and assuming this is even true in the first place.

I don't know what running costs are involved in his wine exploits. He's said before he's invested everything he has into it (whether or not this is true, who knows).

Plus if he didn't need the money, why would he sell off such a prime property? Unless he's buying elsewhere...

My guess is most likely that was just for the plot of land. Maynard probably had the house built.

He's a stocker! Haha. You can find out those type of things by looking at the property records. If maynard was smart though he would have titled the property in a private NM LLC. That way no one would know who owned the house.

Maynard actually did have the property listed under a Trust...it's just the trust was titled "Harry Merkin" lol kind of a dead giveaway. I was looking at houses in the area on LA blockshopper and saw that stand out.

Looks like he bought this house in 2003 for a mil, so owned it for 10 years. I guess he had already moved to AZ in like 95 or whatever, but makes sense he would have and eventually buy a place in LA. It's just up into the hills almost directly north of where The Loft is located, so it makes sense. But yea... maybe he doesn't spend enough time in LA anymore to justify the expense and can make some money selling it at the same time. Makes sense to me
