That is a terrible idea and quite naive to believe it will actually work.
SOAD is not anywhere near to TOOL's level. In my opinion, they are just plain bad, highly forgettable music.
I thought System of a Down broke up? They should have anyway...

Primus and Tool is way better, which is happening briefly. I'd also love to see Meshuggah open with them again.

Hey Junior, anything new we could expect in the lighting/stage performance with the upcoming dates? I'm not reaching for specifics per say, a yes or no would suffice.

My guess is that we won't really see any significant changes until the new album tour in 2021.Capt. Shipwreck wrote:Hey Junior, anything new we could expect in the lighting/stage performance with the upcoming dates? I'm not reaching for specifics per say, a yes or no would suffice.
I suspect you'll see some of the stuff from the 2013 Japan/Oz/NZ tour such as:

Offtopic, but would you mind checking IPs and whatnot, Hellboi? Lots of new members, and I'm not convinced they're all not the same person.
O love will you read the letters I will send to you.
Re: Petition for a Tool and System of a Down tour
Just took a look at the IP's of our most recent 5 members and there's no clashes there.

Would love to see TOOL and System do a tour. Systems first two albums are their tops for me. Few good tracks on the double album, but Daron just needs to shut the fuck up and stick to the guitar.

Re: Petition for a Tool and System of a Down tour
That's what I assumed, buy hey, I can hope. I don't think they really will. But there shouldn't really be a reason they wouldn't tinker with a new tune live.hellboy wrote:My guess is that we won't really see any significant changes until the new album tour in 2021.Capt. Re: Petition for a Tool and System of a Down tour
Do they keep doing these mini tours just to avoid working on the new album?? I fail to see what the purpose of all this is.
How often do bands who are holed up, working on their next magnum opus, constantly announce tours here, there and everywhere before the thing is finished?
Finish the album, tour the new material.
Something is wrong, somewhere in Tool City.
It's not looking good for a 2014 release date at this stage.

I see it differently, this is at least time they are all together for a few weeks playing music. Why cant they write/discuss/solidify new tunes during the day/days off and play shows at night? Little do we know a release date is imminent.
