I'd say 99% of his lyrics are anti cheese, this one just sticks out like a sore thumb given the subject matter.

Perhaps cheesy is the wrong word, whiny would be more suited.

It's just I thought Maynard had more emotional maturity to write something like this in his 30's.

Do people actually indulge in rumors? Don't believe everything u read or come across in the media Man. Most of its bullshit. Life throws a fuck load of curve balls at you, and some cases even more than others. Who gives a fuck if shit didn't work out with one chick? Females be crazy even if they seem normal.
