Surprised when I searched and found no Tesseract thread. These guys are like the face of modern day Djent. I know a lot of people dont really like Ashe's vocals, compared to Dan's (no screams on altered state), but I personally think the clean vocals make the songs sound just fine. That being said, both of Tesseracts full albums are up on youtube as instrumental-only's. If you dont have time to listen to all of the new album Altered State, then I suggest you at least give this instrumental song a listen:

Tesseract are the next step in the evolution of Djent, sure Messugah are a great band who created the genre but the torch has definitely been passed.

Can't wait for some new stuff from the new kings of Djent, ALL HAIL TESSERACT!!!

Basically, if you're not Meshuggah... knock it off or work harder on blending genres/sounds together. There's no point.

I can see the allure. And there is definitely some thought Put into the music. But it does nothing for me. To be honest, it feels empty. It has no soul. It's trying too hard to be what it wants to be. Each to their own. And this whole "djent" classification is also reaching.
