New Site Features
Just a quick update on a couple of features I've added over the last day or so. Â
A new Private Messaging System is now online. Â Click on the Message item on the menu at the top of the screen. Â The CSS on the page is a little rough, but I'll fix that over time. Â I'll also look at adding a "Send PM" button on the blog/forum. Â You can visit the old messaging system by clicking the Old Messages item in the menu.
There's a new chat as well.  Visit the IRC page (under Messages in the menu or click here).  It is just an IRC room on irc.dal.net, so you can log into it using any IRC client, or the one provided on the page.  I won't be monitoring the room on a regular basis, so take care.

Fuck the chat. Â Dal.net? Â Fucking DAL net blocks TOR. Â So much for that. Â Not going to set up a BNC server for one chat room. Â Not going to fuck with trying to get a vHost. Â Fuck DAL. Â You couldn't have just gone with freenode?
I know virtually nothing about irc servers and who they do/don't block. Â If you want to make suggestions then feel free.

I am fucking with you. Â 99.9% of the members couldn't give a shit less about their hostname being accessible via the /whois command. Yeah I prefer freenode because they do allow TOR, but creating and registering a channel to appease one user is dumb. Â No worries player you did good.
You're right, appeasing one user is dumb, but if there are some compelling reasons to use freenode, then I'm all ears.

To be honest I'd wanna keep it private if I had mog's taste in music...
^ This coming from a guy that thinks "grindcore" is cutting edge.
Anyhoo cum guzzler, if you want to give users the easiest access to hostmasking capabilities, Quakenet supports user mode +x
If no one gives a fuck, then carry on.
