But that A League thing is already presumed, a soccer player coming out as gay is about as surprising as a V8 Race driver stating he drives a car.

I couldn't find an example of a gay A League player. It wasn't particularly thorough research, but you'd think that that would kind of stand out after even the most cursory of Googles.

Now that the A League is bigger than it's ever been, I predict we'll see a player comfortable enough in the 2014/15 season to come out.
