That Panda Bear album came out months ago.
It's ok.......I suppose.

I really liked the PBMGR album on the first 10 listens, then now I am kind of sick of it already because all of the songs are very similar/repetitive.

Re: New Music Thread
I wouldn't say there's any firm timeline, but probably something released in the last month seems about right. I think Califum is just being a grouch for the most part though.

I didn't mean it in a "grouchy" way.

No band is so sacred they can't be covered. The album, for the most part is a bit pedestrian, but there's a few good tunes there.

Re: New Music Thread
don't mean it seem sacred by any means ... it's just that in my opinion, nirvana didn't write all that much in the way of challenging tunes, so i like the way they sound as is ... conversely, the simplicity of the tunes would allow some very good bands to tack onto and fuck with them in a greater context, but they never do ... I mean, how many different versions of teen spirit do we need where the only difference is the singer doesn't sound right singing the songhellboy wrote:No band is so sacred they can't be covered. Re: New Music Thread
Yeah, not much to give a shit about there. Not even a supergroup, more just a series of collaborations.

Asteroids do not concern me, Admiral. I want that ship, not excuses.
Re: New Music Thread
Not a bad track, has a nice groove to it. Would have no idea that it was Refused if I wasn't told otherwise.
Re: New Music Thread
Komara (the band featuring Pat from KC that Adam is doing the cover for) released their first track today. It's quite good!

It's pretty good, though a little meandering. I like it as an individual song, but I don't think a whole album of that would really hold my interest.

Re: New Music Thread
I tend to agree, I enjoyed it enough that I'm quite looking forward to this, though I think the price they're charging for the album ( €27 ) seems pretty outrageous.UndKeineZwEier wrote:It's pretty good, though a little meandering. Re: New Music Thread
Yeah, that is kinda expensive.
So I'm guessing not getting that on vinyl. (Not that I was going to before...)
