Beats was a music service that Reznor supported (he's since sold out to the next highest bidder - iTunes I believe). I don't think it had anything to do with the headphones.

If only Bill Hicks were still alive...

They have a record label in common! They're also both 4 piece rock bands. They also have sunglasses wearing singers. They both rely heavily on videos for their live shows!

The Joshing Ya Tree. Maybe Brian Eno really is producing the new Tool record?

That'd be pretty great if true.

Eno would be such a great choice.

Would tool ever feature someone in a song again? Its only Henry at this point and that was a mistake. Maynard could have done that part just as well.

Bill Hicks was technically featured in Third Eye, no?

And the live versions of Bottom I've heard are better than the Rollins' version.

Bottom's a great song with or without Rollins. Not sure how it was a "mistake" personally.

I have no issues with the Rollins section in the song. I actually think the dour sounding monologue juxtaposes nicely with when MJK comes back in and starts singing loud again..."But I'm deeeaaad insiiiide"... I think it is cool...

All of their LPs have featured a guest in some form.
Chris Pitman/Vince DeFranco on Third Eye, Statik on Triad, Lustmord on 10,000 Days...plus if you wanna count recorded voices yeah, Hicks, Marco Fox, the Area 51 guy and the guy on Lipan. It'd be weird if there weren't any guests on the new album.

I meant guest vocalist or performer. Not samples and shit. I'm not totally stupid, although the herb has slowed me down. Lol. I think tool is best by themselves. Listening to Rollins is embarrassing to me, idk why?

Yea I don't think the studio version is bad or a mistake (fucking awesome actually, even the Rollins part).

It's just that they played it even better live, especially May Jay and Danny.
