Random Tool Social Media thread
Re: Random Tool Social Media thread
Are they endorsed by Dr Dre as well?
Re: Random Tool Social Media thread
I heard Reznor is taking over Beats by Dre..
So i guess it will now be called Beats by Reznor
I hope he changes the name lol

Beats was a music service that Reznor supported (he's since sold out to the next highest bidder - iTunes I believe). I don't think it had anything to do with the headphones.

You have blown my fucking mind!hellboy wrote:They have a record label in common! They're also both 4 piece rock bands. They also have sunglasses wearing singers. They both rely heavily on videos for their live shows!blacksabbath wrote:U2 and Tool have nothing in common. How can this be?!!!

Could be worse!
Re: Random Tool Social Media thread
That's pretty much what a tool record is
Re: Random Tool Social Media thread
Eno would be such a great choice.
OK..... All you questionable "news" agencies out there trolling Fourtheye forums for your sources.... it's CONFIRMED

Re: Random Tool Social Media thread
Would tool ever feature someone in a song again? Its only Henry at this point and that was a mistake. Maynard could have done that part just as well.
Re: Random Tool Social Media thread
Bill Hicks was technically featured in Third Eye, no?
And the live versions of Bottom I've heard are better than the Rollins' version.

Re: Random Tool Social Media thread
Bottom's a great song with or without Rollins. Not sure how it was a "mistake" personally.
Re: Random Tool Social Media thread
I have no issues with the Rollins section in the song. I actually think the dour sounding monologue juxtaposes nicely with when MJK comes back in and starts singing loud again..."But I'm deeeaaad insiiiide"... I think it is cool...
Be good to each other.

Re: Random Tool Social Media thread
All of their LPs have featured a guest in some form.
Chris Pitman/Vince DeFranco on Third Eye, Statik on Triad, Lustmord on 10,000 Days...plus if you wanna count recorded voices yeah, Hicks, Marco Fox, the Area 51 guy and the guy on Lipan. It'd be weird if there weren't any guests on the new album.

I meant guest vocalist or performer. Not samples and shit. I'm not totally stupid, although the herb has slowed me down. Lol. I think tool is best by themselves. Listening to Rollins is embarrassing to me, idk why?

Yeah, I hear ya. Makes you think though
.. you know there's gonna be some guests in a mild fashion on the new album. Wonder who and what'll they'll add.

Re: Random Tool Social Media thread
Yea I don't think the studio version is bad or a mistake (fucking awesome actually, even the Rollins part).
It's just that they played it even better live, especially May Jay and Danny.
