Just bought tickets for the show in the Lou. Absolutely cannot wait. It's been over 9 years since I saw Tool last.

I'll be there! 5th tool show. Would have gotten better tickets but ticketmaster kinda messed that up. Was hoping for pushit. Someday maybe. That's the last song on my list to see live.

Show is tomorrow! Looking forward to the new visuals and a solid performance. I will definitely write a review Saturday morning. Going in to work early in the morning and leaving around noon. Have a 3 hour drive. If anyone is looking for a good place to eat I would recommend a few places....the spaghetti factory which is down by the landing, the cheesecake factory which is in the Galeria west of the Arch and lastly... The Broadway oyster bar. It's got authentic creole food of which I would recommend the crawfish enchiladas. After the concert, I've got a 3 hour drive back home. Hope everyone who is going has a great time.

Just got back from the show a little over a half hour ago. Did the full VIP experience, which was excellent, and anyone who has the expendable dough to do it should definitely consider it if they haven't already. Worth every penny. An Adam Q+A with decent snacks and playthrough of Descending and Jambi, followed by a soundcheck which featured full-band instrumental Parabola and The Grudge (sans Maynard, of course), then time to pose with two props (Parabola vomiting business man and blue third-eye suit guy from Aenema artwork) before heading out to wait for the bands.
3teeth was, as most are mentioning, more or less forgettable but a pretty good time - all in all, pretty much all you can ask for from an opening act. Primus was outstanding, even tighter on this tour than on even their own tours I saw them on recently, and TOOL...I mean, c'mon.
Setlists were as follows:
Primus:
Those Damned Blue-Collar Tweekers
Here Come The Bastards
Frizzle Fry
Southbound Pachyderm
Jilly’s On Smack
My Name Is Mud
Jerry Was A Race Car Driver
TOOL:
Soundcheck:
Descending and Jambi (Adam)
Parabola
The Grudge
Show:
No Quarter
The Grudge
Parabol
Parabola
Schism (Extended)
Opiate (Extended)
Aenema
Descending
Jambi
Forty-Six & 2
—Intermission—
Drum Solo
Sweat
Stinkfist (Extended)
I rode 21 hours from Buffalo, NY on a train for this. If they're coming closer than that to you, find some tickets on stubhub and just do it. Everyone is in tip top form, and who knows how much longer we'll be this lucky to see a show as incredible and tight as this one.
Edit: forgot Descending woops

This is a really nice write up from a guy who went to this show. He was in prison for 22 years and was a huge Tool fan. Read it. http://m.noisey.vice.com/blog/seeing-to ... e=vicefbus

Asteroids do not concern me, Admiral. I want that ship, not excuses.
