Primus on now. Another hour and 10 mins until Tool hit the stage. According to some guy on twitter, they soundchecked No Quarter last night.

I'd personally like to see No Quarter gone. That being said I wonder if it's going to be identical set list with minor production tweaks. I'd like to think that would be the case, but playing the same show in NOLA twice in one year would be odd even for their standards.

Keep us posted! I'm not expecting any notable changes in the setlist or stage rig tonight. I'm more interested in reports from the VIP sessions at their non-festival shows tbh.

Yeah, definitely have fun and enjoy the show- if possible let us know what happens. Also kind of curious to find out if they were cleared to use the lasers. Last outdoor show Tempe city wouldn't allow it for whatever reason. If the same happens for Sacramento and NOLA they may just decide to leave the staff and equipment at home.

Im no doubt in the minority here, but having seen them open with 3rd eye a few times now, I'm not a big fan of it as an opener. Bring back flood!

Maybe I've just been spoiled by seeing it too many times used as an opener (4 times) and two of those times the band clearly struggled with it. Just lacked any real energy most times I've seen it.

Followed with Opiate, Aenima, Jambi, 46 & 2 , Sweat. No real surprises apart from Aenima being played earlier than usual but still a pretty banging setlist.

Always good to see Tool performing live. One of the best live bands of all time in my opinion. Seems like a pretty standard Tool show from the clips I've seen, typical set list.

I don't love that Lateralus is still being left off but as usual I'll be flying (this time to Little Rock) since Tool has shown no love to the Northeast in a while.

I've never been to a Tool show I didn't love, so I only say this in good fun and nitpicking but...

A Tool show with no Schism is still not a show to me, it's sorely missed. And Stinkfist just forever does not work as a closer to me. Also, I love Third Eye as an opener but a Third Eye with no visuals is no Third Eye either.

That pretty much sums up how I feel about Lateralus being removed from the set. I get that they'd played it at just about every set for 15 years straight so understand the logic behind it. I just don't agree with it is all. That song live ia pretty much the ultimate for me and it wouldn't feel like a full tool show without it.
