Either that or they're a pretty, young girl with ample breasts who has just taken a shower.

Yeah, but for the most part that stupidity is intentional on the part of the writers, whereas in the case of Life it doesn't really seem like the writers understand that the things their characters are doing are stupid. Like in Alien when they're bringing the dude on with the facehugger there's somebody there who's like we shouldn't be bringing this thing on board, which makes the other characters have to justify their decision which makes it feel less stupid when they make bad decision. But, that doesn't happen here - people just do stupid shit and nobody questions it or seems to think it was a bad idea.

Also, in this case a lot of the stupid stuff happens before the threat emerges.

Let me know how it is though.

Just watched The Train To Buson which is a very good Korean zombie flick. It's on Netflix and I'd recommend checking it out.

You all need to watch "American God's. Neil Gaiman (married to Amanda Palmer, so you know the sound track is important) has written a Gothic novel that is one of my favourites. The first episode was very satisfying. You may not warm so quickly if you haven't read the book but as the book works for the imagery so the TV version is high on visuals.

I liked it and recommend checking it out too. Not great, but unexpectedly entertaining.

It's interesting because it shows the normalization of zombies, as it plays more like a disaster movie than a horror movie.

I think I'm going to have to wait until all the episodes have aired, sign up for the free 7-day trial...then binge watch. :D

Series looks great though.

So I just watched Swiss Army Man and it was better than I expected, and I actually expected it to be pretty good. So yeah, it was very good.

I just watched Krisha, the first feature film by Trey Edward Shults who also wrote and directed the upcoming It Comes At Night. It was very good and he's a director I'm definitely going to keep an eye on.

It's exceptionally well-acted for a cast that's made up almost entirely of friends and family.

Alien Covenant was shithouse.

Really, really disappointed in that film. More so because I waited so long for it to come out........

The biggest cinematic letdown since Arrival.

I'd give it 2 stars. Just.

Not sure what to expect here. On one hand I really liked Arrival. On the other the Alien Covenant movie looks pretty run of the mill.

I'll wait until it comes out on DVD I think.

The worst Alien movie ever, what a shame... Ridley, stop that shit, please. You killed your own universe.

Forgot how good X-men 2 is...

Also forgot it was co-written by the guy who voices Solid Snake in the Metal Gear Solid games.

Watched both Logan and Suicide Squad over the weekend.

Logan was excellent. I don't think much more needs to be said about that except I'd rate it about 9/10

Suicide Squad was an interesting flick. It had some good moments, but it had a metric shit tonne of god awful lines and pointless subplots (I still have no idea why the fuck the Joker was in it). Feels like a real missed opportunity here. 4/10
