Margot was alright, suited the role pretty well, but had many of the worst lines of the movie.

I really liked Logan, but the fuck word felt really forced. I saw it in a great theater with reserved recliner seats and the dude next to me had to talk to his friend every 3 mins. So I moved to a different seat a third of the way thru the movie where I couldn't hear the fucker talk. I really started to enjoy the movie then, but "fuck" seemed unnatural in spots for some reason.

Suicide Squad I actually really liked the first half where they introduced all the characters. Editing was terrible and last half was lame and so was Leto's Joker. I used to be very critical of movies in my 20's, but I even enjoyed the new Superman movies and Batman VS Superman. I can enjoy a big dumb movie most of the time(never Transformers). I am interested in seeing Wonder Women in the theater. Since being divorced I been to a handful of movies alone and enjoy them more and comic book movies need to be big and loud.

Didn't have any problems with the script (aside from a few plot holes, but that's par for the course in comic movies) or the use of the word "fuck" personally. It was the type of movie where sweary bits are appropriate.

Batman vs. Superman was much better in comparison to SS, that's for sure. Leto's Joker was pretty cringeworthy, not sure why he's getting any pundits for it at all to be honest.

I agree with your assessment of the introduction of characters, though I'd have seen a few more get fleshed out a bit.

I love Logan (shocking I know).

I was already very familiar with Laura's character and knew how violent she was, but it was still very weird? Odd? Visceral? To see a little girl be so extremely violent onscreen.

And yes the movie is depressing as fuck.

Was one of only 3-5 people at the showing of Chasing Trane who was under 40...

Curious as to why you guys say Logan is "depressing as fuck?". I mean it wasn't an upbeat movie by any means, but that in itself is nothing new.

Was there something about the story or setting that depressed more than usual?

Pretty much everything about Logan himself. He alone would've made it pretty depressing for me. Yes again I'm well aware of my * when it comes to this character.

Xavier being a shell of himself.

Pretty much their whole kind has been wiped out.

The end result of the dinner with that family. (!)

Laura. She had to go through a LOT, to say the least.

The whole thing just has this somber cloud to it. I loved it.

That pretty much sums it up RP. I left the theater with a heavy heart.

I will watch it again soon.

Oh and I forgot a big one:

What it's heavily implied that Xavier (accidentally) did!

Ah, ah, ah, fuck. I've been watching the animated Spawn HBO series and the first 2 seasons are... not very good, but then the third season is good, but it's the last season. It ended once it got good, and the threads they left hanging were the most compelling parts of the entire series. Fuck, goddamnit.

Also watched 'Get Out.' Liked that one too.

It's pretty much a panel for panel remake of the comic so you could just pick up the series from where it ends.

And if that's true then I think I already know how everything plays out having read it on Wikipedia a few years ago.

War for the Planet of the Apes (2017)

Ape-Pocalypse. Epic drama. 10/10.

- Yes. The louder the better. Stops me from thinking.
- You don't like to think? What do you like?
- Never thought about it.

I just found out that Luc Besson has a new sci-fi pic coming out and it has Herbie Hancock in it.

That would be a great tag line. It does look like it could be fun.

Baby Driver

Waste of time and space.

Having said that, in all fairness I'm probably not the intended audience for this fluffy, sassy, "MTV edgy", 90 minute iPod commercial for young adults.

Still, the guy at work who recommended this to me is going to get a punch in the mouth.

3/10

You're just not edgy enough Califum. Are you edgy enough to dislike Dunkirk though?
