Smashing Pumkins are still on tour, and continuing for the rest of this year according to their website. I wouldn't expect to see Iha back anytime soon.

Regardless of what you think of the cover, what stands out for me is that Maynard's vocals are pretty strong and aggressive here.

Was good to here a bit of the ol screamo from him but I cant say I loved his voice. Sounded a bit unnatural and forced but I'm hoping that's more likely to do with he was trying to perform a cover more than how much of a struggle it is for him to sing aggro these days.

I certainly think there was a strong element of making the vocals suit the music, so it's probably not his "regular" voice. It was more the willingness to scream and be a bit grittier that appealed to me.

Given obvious exceptions (No Quarter/Demon Cleaner/You Lied) I always thought Maynerd was never good at covers, there is a reason half of Emotive was sung by Billy

I dont know what the fuck he was thinking with that one. I remember reading an interview around that time where the rest of the band were putting that squarely on him questioning why. If there's one song that should not be covered it's that.
