Classic Film of the Week
Much in the same vein as the Albums of the Week threads, this thread will die a quick and painless, or others may prefer a demise of the slow and agonizing ... either way it's up to you.
No real rating system necessary, but feel free to splatter your generally uninformed, highly nonsensical and mostly abhorred opinion as you see fit. Based on general time constraints of life and considering I suspect many of these have been viewed, possibly multiple times by members here, 1 offering a week seems sufficient.
Maybe you just have a line or scene that evokes a memory or you'd like to interpret, etc., etc. So fire away with clips or links to movies that you'd consider a must see from the logical perspective that they are "classic" only in the sense that they are widely well regarded or have a niche cult following.
Ok, I'm going first ... eat it (refer to next post)

Classic Film of the Week: Brazil
Arguably one of the greatest first 7 minutes of a movie ever ...
"sign here, please ... there ... thank you ... name again, please ... press harder this time ... that is your receipt for your husband and this is my receipt, for your receipt"

Was this for real, or are you messing with me? I've been pimping The Swell Season on Fourtheye for years now. Bobage was the only taker as far as I know. Love that band, and just about anything Hansard does (The Frames of course included). Not Tyson wrote:Well I woke up for no fucking reason at 12AM now I'm going to watch one of my favourite films of all time, drink some wine and probably have a nice old cry
