Don't do that. He has the right to be underwhelmed. It took me 20 listens to get this song. Everyone has different tastes it does no good taking a dig at someone for feeling differently. Let's keep things in context. It is music and is incredibly subjective.Tool_User wrote: ↑Wed Aug 07, 2019 1:46 pmI bet they would of laughed their arses off you limp noodle dickSpoonman wrote: ↑Wed Aug 07, 2019 1:42 pm ...concerning the new song:
I was eating spaghetti with my girlfriend, playing the song which was streamed at 2 o in the afternoon here in Germany.
Music, spaghetti, no words, then the song was over. "Pretty boring for Tool, isnt it?" "Yep".
And thats what we were waiting 13 years for. Wish the band had seen us with our damn noodles, being completly unimpressed.

Love the new song even though that part in the intro is identical to the theme from the movie Planes Trains and Automobiles. Can’t wait for the album!

- You like noisy music?
- Yes. The louder the better. Stops me from thinking.
- You don't like to think? What do you like?
- Never thought about it.

Google Play is mp3 320 kb/s
Amazon is mp3 268 kb/s (VBR)
iTunes is AAC 256 kb/s
I haven't checked any other sources.

Thanks junior! I took a dive just before this on one other so-so source I found and GP was 320 kb/s. It will do for now!junior wrote: ↑Wed Aug 07, 2019 2:20 pmGoogle Play is mp3 320 kb/s

This explains why Google Play sounds way better in my car than anything else. Thank you Juniorjunior wrote: ↑Wed Aug 07, 2019 2:20 pmGoogle Play is mp3 320 kb/s

Re: Fear Inoculum
I second this. Very intriguing. To me this would mean that track 6 and 7 make up the 18 minute song that was discussed so track 6 is probably a segue.
Re: Fear Inoculum
It's not that he doesn't like it it's that he wanted tool to see how disappointed he was. Bit rich from you anyway you'll be calling everyone dipshits again in no time.M0G wrote: ↑Wed Aug 07, 2019 1:58 pmDon't do that. He has the right to be underwhelmed. Re: Fear Inoculum
So Track 3 is Invincible.

Come one now. For as much shit as people give M0G, his opinion is the most interesting and fruitful point of comparison. I trust that he knows what he thinks and that he has in fact actually thought it through.

Re: Fear Inoculum
Track 4 could be invincible too no? Track 3 could be descending too.
Re: Fear Inoculum
12:44 is right on the money of Invincible start to finish (my edit is 12:42). Unless there really are 10 tracks, Descending is #2. My edit of that is 12:02.PulsedHalo wrote: ↑Wed Aug 07, 2019 2:36 pm Track 4 could be invincible too no? Track 3 could be descending too.
Edit: The person who made this reddit thread said track 6 was just under 5min.

I forgot a 1 from the Lateralus release date. Oops.
I put the correct date in and turned up some interesting numbers, so I'll be working on that.
Heavy load today. Mistakes were made.
I did find another connection between Lateralus and Fear Inoculum, though:
The 9-8-7 connection.
Fear Inoculum released 7/8.
Tomorrow is 8/8. This is an important date for anyone that knows a thing or two about numbers and has seen Back to the Future.
That was a joke. Goes a lot deeper than Back to the Future.
Day after is 9/8. This is an important date for anyone that knows a thing or two about Judaism and its connection to 8/8.
The artwork for Fear Inoculum is a serpent eye that appears to be made of a twisting metallic Fibonacci.
When doubled over, as in the YouTube video, you get the interior of a very important building that I believe the track is about.
13 years since last release. Nice number, right?
Oh, and 987 is number 17 on the Fibonacci. Or the letter Q. Take what you will.
More information can be given if needed. Pretty confident on my theories.

The Pressure is getting to you both, starting to break!
My wife who enjoys Tool and has been to multiple shows with me gave it a listen this morning at home while I'm at work. Her reply was "I teared up, That should tell you something, and I must say... Danny KILLED it!" That paired with all the commotion here has my hype train at a dangerous speeds. I still think opening the physical media and playing a disc while taking it ALL in at once was how this is meant to be done.
Good luck to you both and i'll see you on the other side!
So Long, and Thanks for All the Tool.

1. Fear Inoculum (10:21)
*2. Descending (12:02)
*3. Invincible (12:44)
4. (13:37)
5. (10:05)
*6. (5:00)
7. (15:44)
Where * denotes guesses on time and/or title (he did not give the exact sub 5min time).
This is a total of 79:33, so there is still something left if we are looking at 85 minutes.

Re: Fear Inoculum
I know someone took the Tool logo and made it into a syringe by folding it in half... this whole image looks like it could be folded in half right down the O in Inoculum. I'm not able to do it right now... anyone else wanna try?

Hey Junior!
Hope it's not asking too much, but have you already heard the new album? And, does this help you start thinking about putting together lighting for a tour? Or does that process take place later, when a tour is actually being put together?

Revolver mentioned 7 tracks plus two segues. It might be the segues if Revolver is correct.Boldizar wrote: ↑Wed Aug 07, 2019 2:56 pm 1. Fear Inoculum (10:21)

Correct but Revolver might have heard the CD and not the digital download which is longer. So who knows.ms2r wrote: ↑Wed Aug 07, 2019 3:03 pmRevolver mentioned 7 tracks plus two segues. It might be the segues if Revolver is correct.Boldizar wrote: ↑Wed Aug 07, 2019 2:56 pm 1. Fear Inoculum (10:21)
